The Eliza Huntington Home offers a full recreational program of activities in the Home and within the local area and the state. Since the Home is on a single ground level, all activities are accessible to everyone, yet are voluntary.
Arts and crafts, bingo, elderly exercise, special entertainment and seasonal activities take place within the Home and on the beautiful grounds. The recreation room contains a television for everyone to enjoy. In addition, each resident may have a television in her own room.
Outings are arranged for the residents several times each month. Residents have enjoyed trips to shopping areas, fall foliage tours, cultural events, area restaurants, Mystic Marinelife Aquarium, Foxwoods Casino and other area attractions.
Religious Services
Non-denominational religious services are provided voluntarily to serve the spiritual needs of the residents.
Community Outreach Program
The residents voluntarily organize and participate in many community outreach programs in Norwich and throughout Southeastern Connecticut. These projects include holiday, social service, historical and recreational programs. |
